About the Pragmatic Innovator

Video applications and smartphones will be a revenue and innovation growth engine for the telecommunications industry for the foreseeable future. However, when these applications rely solely on streaming video as the distribution platform, networks will crumble under the massive traffic burden that streaming video places on the networks.

The current path is not sustainable.

There is not enough spectrum today, or in the future, to absorb the demand presented by streaming video applications. The industry must look at new and innovative media distribution technologies as a way to fuel revenue growth while mitigating the negative effects of streaming video on the network.

The Pragmatic Innovator blog provides thought provoking analysis of the issues and trends surrounding the delivery of video over wireless networks. The blog also serves as a forum for sharing the experiences, insights and opinions of the team of Pragmatic Innovators behind Opanga. Read more about our esteemed team of bloggers below.

For more information about the technology and products we have developed to address these issues, visit our web site.

We will update the blog often and encourage comments to provide new perspectives and advance the conversation.
