Mr. Judson was the Founding President and a Board Member of Nextel International, of XO Communications and of a joint venture controlling the Unicom cellular franchise for Shanghai, China and was an Alternate Director of China Unicom. He was a member of Eagle River Investments, LLC, a Kirkland – based venture capital fund formed by Craig O. McCaw to focus on investment opportunities in communications. Mr. Judson is a Board Member of many organizations: GigOptx, Inc. (chair of compensation committee, audit committee), Port Blakely Tree Farms (nominating committee, chair of audit committee), Garrett and Ring (compensation committee), Joshua Green Corporation (audit committee), Welco Lumber (compensation committee), Airbiquity (chair of finance committee), Sonata Capital (owner, board member), Eden Rock Communications (owner, chairman), Opanga Networks (owner, chairman), Seattle Institute for Biomedical and Clinical Research (board member, audit committee), and TSK America (board member). Mr. Judson serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Foundation, the Yosemite National Institutes (emeritus) and the Washington Athletic Club (first vice chair, finance committee). Mr. Judson attended Stanford University, B.A. cum laude 1966, and Stanford Law School, LLB. 1969 and was Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review.
Dave has been engaged in the wireless industry for the past 22 years where he has been involved in realizing new wireless technologies into global, high-volume deployments including GSM, CDMA and OFDM on both the network and terminal device sides. Prior to Opanga Dave held the position of President of Elektrobit Inc profitably managing a 50M+ USD business, Vice President/CTO at AT&T Wireless overseeing AT&T’s cutting edge OFDM broadband wireless development and innovation activities, work that prefaced todays 4G LTE standards and held numerous roles with Motorola and Nokia. Dave has served on several boards and industry forums and co-founded Eden Rock Communications an industry leader in 4G SON solutions.
Ed has over 40 years of telecom industry experience in executive positions with AT&T, AT&T Wireless, NorthStar Communications Group, and PRTM Management Consultants. He has extensive experience in product management, supply-chain, and network operations, as well as international business development, marketing and sales. Ed is the past President of The Performance Measurement Group, PRTM’s operations performance benchmarking services company. Ed graduated from Ga Tech (BIE), Lehigh University (MSIE) and attended executive development programs at Penn State, Stanford and Harvard Universities.
Iván has over 20 years of telecom and information technology industry experience in executive positions with Axtel and other service oriented companies. He has extensive experience in information technology, network planning, implementation and operations, and business development. Iván is the Executive Director for Innovation and Technology of Axtel. Iván graduated from Monterrey Institute of Technology (BIE), and attended the executive development programs at IPADE.
William Owens joined AEA Holdings Asia on April 1, 2006 and is managing director of AEA Investors in Hong Kong. Prior to joining AEA, he was chief executive officer and vice chairman of Nortel. Prior to joining Nortel, Mr. Owens was chief executive officer and chairman of Teledesic LLC and before that, he was the president, chief operating officer and vice chairman of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the largest employee-owned high-technology company in the U.S. Prior to joining SAIC, Mr. Owens was vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the second-ranking military officer in the U.S. He had responsibility for the reorganization and restructuring of the armed forces in the post-Cold War era. Mr. Owens has served on the board of directors of nineteen public companies and has founded two technology companies, Lumera and Extend America. He is on the board of Daimler Chrysler AG, Polycom, Wipro, Embarq and AEA Investors LLC. Mr. Owens is a member of several philanthropic boards including the Carnegie Foundation, Brookings Institution and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Owens has a B.A. and M.S. in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford University and an M.S. in management from George Washington University.
Currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Airbiquity, Inc. & Entomo, Inc. and a Director of Opanga and Trace Detect, Inc. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the Washington State Academy of Sciences. Mr. Seifert is a retired Executive Vice President of AT&T Wireless Services His long career with AT&T included responsibilities at both the executive and operational levels for business restructuring, manufacturing, manufacturing research and development, bringing new technology to market, environmental matters, intellectual property management, software product management and information systems development and operation.
Arlen (“Arnie”) Prentice is Chairman and CEO of Kibble & Prentice, an insurance and financial services firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington, which he co-founded in 1972. Mr. Prentice currently serves on the Board of Directors of Flow International, Northland Telecommunications Corporation and Pacific Marketing International. Mr. Prentice recently retired from the Board of Directors of the Starbucks Coffee Company, a position he held for 19 years. Mr. Prentice is a member of many professional and civic associations at the international, national and local levels, including the Million Dollar Round Table, the National Association of Corporate Directors (Seattle-Northwest Chapter), the Central Washington University Foundation Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees for the Seattle World Trade Center, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Business Alliance and the Methow Conservancy.
