Dave has been engaged in the wireless industry for the past 22 years where he has been involved in realizing new wireless technologies into global, high-volume deployments including GSM, CDMA and OFDM on both the network and terminal device sides. Prior to Opanga Dave held the position of President of Elektrobit Inc profitably managing a 50M+ USD business, Vice President/CTO at AT&T Wireless overseeing AT&T’s cutting edge OFDM broadband wireless development and innovation activities, work that prefaced todays 4G LTE standards and held numerous roles with Motorola and Nokia. Dave has served on several boards and industry forums and co-founded Eden Rock Communications an industry leader in 4G SON solutions.
Bob has been a leader in mobile software and networking for many years helping to grow some of the most successful companies in the industry. Prior to joining Opanga Bob was the Senior Vice President of Mobile Care at Nuance Communications where his team built and launched ground breaking customer care software on tens of millions of mobile handsets at carriers around the world. In addition Bob was CEO of ThinkFree one of the first cloud based SaaS office automation offerings, CTO at USWeb a 9000 person internet development company and VP of Worldwide Consulting at Novell a global leader in local area networking. Bob holds a BS degree in Computer Science.
Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry and has held a variety of senior technical positions as a Fellow at Boeing and a principle member of technical staff at AT&T. Jeff has served as Broadband Systems Architect with focus on IP-centric wireless networks and possesses significant expertise in IP protocols and applications. Jeff has worked with WiMAX/LTE and OFDM wireless broadband technologies, beginning with AT&T Wireless in May 2000. His experience, having acquired firsthand the lessons learned as both an operator and technology provider, gives him a unique perspective on traffic engineering and data protocols in consumer broadband access networks. Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Physics and has a number of patents in data network systems and protocols.
John has been engaged in embedded systems and client/server development for close to 10 years and leads Opanga’s R&D efforts. His experience includes leading the development efforts in low-level digital design integrated with FPGAs, embedded OS design with custom physical/link/transport layer protocols, end-to-end client/server architectures and proprietary messaging protocols over HTTP. John continues to direct all development activities for Opanga across a variety of products and platforms for mobile devices and cloud-based services. John received both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the U. of Washington where he worked on ultra-wideband radio tracking systems in the university’s Human Interface Technology Lab.
Octavio has many years of experience in the telecommunication industry. His title of Mastère spécialisé in ”Network & Mobile Services” at the ENST-Bretagne in Rennes, France gave him the opportunity to participate in Motorola’s EDGE program in concert with AT&T Wireless labs. Octavio has worked in new product introduction & product homologation for Telefonica’s white label cell phones in Malaga, Spain. Octavio led the daily operations for SR Telecom in Mexico overseeing the delivery and deployment of state of the art OFDM broadband wireless networks. Octavio heads up Opanga’s Mexican operations and oversees key Opanga customers in the Latin American region.
